Distorted morality, indeed: Chomsky forgets to mention that fascism in Weimar Germany was merely a response to Zionism - just like the Western World , Russia and Australia today, Zionists took over, through ethnic corruption and deceit , all major human endeavors like media, finances, education, etc., and made criticizing this ethnic corruption an official crime, called anti-Semitism.
Fascism was not "merely a response to Zionism". Anyone who states that any major political event is "merely" the result of anything just hasn't bothered thinking about it.
Start by reading about the terms of the Versailles treaty, perceived as a national humiliation by Germany, and one which Hitler never lost any opportunity to exploit for political advantage.
Then read about the global financial crisis in 1929, resulting in massive losses in stock values, unemployment and hyperinflation. (The causes of this were largely due to hugely speculative investments funded by debt - sound familiar?)
Then consider the constant assertions by Hitler that the Germans needed more land - Lebensraum - and that the territory to the east was obviously far too good for the people who happened to be living there.
Sorry to confuse you with facts, and all that, but life is a lot more complex than you choose to make it.
