Keith Olberman: If The Tea Party Wins America Loses (VIDEO)

Christine O'Donnell's campaign threatened a radio station with a lawsuit (VIDEO)

Read The Original Article on The Huffington Post

DOVER, Del. — Republican Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell's campaign threatened a radio station with a lawsuit if it posted video of an interview with the tea party favorite on the Internet.
During the interview Tuesday on WDEL-AM, O'Donnell snapped her fingers and beckoned a spokesman to her side after the host of "The Rick Jensen Show" pressed her on how she would have handled the New Castle County budget differently from her Democratic opponent Chris Coons, who is the executive of the state's largest county.
Jensen told The Associated Press that O'Donnell said after the interview that she would sue if the video was released. O'Donnell campaign manager Matt Moran then called WDEL general manager Michael Reath, demanded that the station turn over the video and threatened to "crush" the station with a lawsuit if it did not comply, Reath said.
"He accused us of creating a story to garner ratings because we must be hurting since the (Philadelphia) Phillies were no longer on the air," Reath said, adding that Moran accused Jensen of "grandstanding."
After viewing the video, which the station provided to the campaign before posting it Tuesday night, O'Donnell's campaign attorney called WDEL's attorney and was very apologetic, Reath said.
O'Donnell spokesman Doug Sachtleben, who was in the studio during the interview, said her camp tried to find out before the questions whether it would be videotaped and, after not getting a clear answer, assumed it would not be.
"It was more of an issue of whether or not they were forthright with us," he said after a campaign event Wednesday from which a local newspaper reporter who wrote a March story outlining O'Donnell's personal financial problems was banned.
Reath noted that before the interview began – when O'Donnell, her sister, and Sachtleben were in the studio – a video technician came in to adjust the cameras and microphones.
The Wilmington station said it routinely posts audio and video of interview segments on it website, and that a September appearance by O'Donnell had been recorded and posted on the Web.
Moran wouldn't answer questions from AP, instead issuing a statement denying that he used the word "crush," even though Reath says he did.
"This is another example of the liberal media shamelessly attacking Christine O'Donnell to boost their ratings," Moran said in the statement, even though Jensen, the host of the show in question, is a well-known conservative.

FLASHBACK: In 2006 joint appearance, Beck appeared to call Imam Rauf a "good Muslim"

http://mediamatters.org/print/blog/201008230004

by Ben Dimiero

One of the main lines of attack in the never-ending conservative freak-out over the plan to build an Islamic community center in downtown Manhattan has been attempting to smear the developers of the center -- Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf in particular -- as "radical." In their usual despicable fashion, conservative media figures have worked hard to blur the line between the terrorists who attacked us on 9-11 and the moderate Muslims who are behind the planned center.

One of the loudest voices in conservatives' fight against the center has been Glenn Beck, who has specifically targeted Imam Rauf with blatant falsehoods and hypocritical attacks in a desperate attempt to smear him as a radical.

Additionally, among other offensive comments, Beck has asked, "after you've killed 3,000 people you're going to now build your mosque?" He's also absurdly labeled the center an "actual danger" and suggested it is an "Allah-tells-me-to-blow-up-America mosque." Though we -- and many other outlets -- have repeatedly pointed out that Rauf is widely viewed as a moderate and has often denounced the extremists who carry out violent attacks in the name of Islam, Beck and his fellow demagogues continue to push the dishonest attack.

But Beck does not need to take our word for it that Imam Rauf is a moderate who distances himself from radicals -- Rauf told Beck as much while sitting at the same table with him during a 2006 discussion on ABC's Good Morning America.

During the ABC segment, Rauf condemned the extremists who issued death threats against the Pope and political cartoonists, specifically saying that "these reactions are not at all called for by Islamic teaching. The teachings of Islam are very similar to the teachings of Christianity, of loving the one God and loving thy neighbor. These are the two common principles."

When Diane Sawyer mentioned that Imam Rauf says the radicals are just a "group of people" and "not him," Beck seemed to agree, saying "sure, sure." He added, "I believe it's a small portion of Islam that is acting in these ways."

Beck, for his part, even appeared to gesture to Imam Rauf when he invoked the idea of "good Muslims." (At about 2:45.)

D.C. Douglas Fires Back At FreedomWorks (VIDEO) ~ Hilarious

D.C. Douglas, Former Geico Voice Actor, Fires Back At FreedomWorks (VIDEO)

D.C. Douglas may have lost his gig as a voice over announcer on Geico commercials, but he's found another use for his time and talent ... making a tongue-in-cheek PSA warning people, "don't drunk dial FreedomWorks."

Douglas, also known as Lance Baxter, made headlines when he left a nasty message for the conservative organization which is closely aligned with the Tea Party. The message and a subsequent call from FreedomWorks back to Douglas were leaked, and Geico promptly fired him.

"What I did may have been entertaining, but it was also impetuous and not well thought out," Douglas said in a statement released on Monday. "If I were to make that call today, I would use a more diaphram-supported voice and ask very different questions."

CSA: Confederate States of America: A Tea-Partier's Dream

Note:  Due to the atmosphere of bigotry & racism that is currently permeating the air we think this post is quit appropriate.

  Patty & Michael.

Netflix: CSA: Confederate States of America

Watch it on Netflix or on YouTube
2004PG-1389 minutes
What would the United States look like if the South had won the Civil War, slavery was still legal and liberals had fled to Canada? According to filmmaker Kevin Willmott (an assistant professor at the University of Kansas), it would resemble the vision put forth in this provocative mockumentary, set in a modern-day Confederate States of America. Spike Lee lends his name as a producer to this daring, if discomforting, parody.

The TeaParty And Socialism, Fascism, Communism

Okay..so I'm stuck on the Tea-Baggers/Tea Party Movement and their interchangeable phrases: Socialist, fascist, communist. I had to post this. -But- first let me make a confession here. I am not educated. In fact I have only a 9th grade education so if I did not have a curious mind(and even sometimes a suspicious mind) I could very well have been a Tea-bagger myself -but- since I do have a curious mind I RESEARCH and to indulge my sometimes suspicious mind I RESEARCH THE SHIT OUT OF EVERYTHING! Are the Tea-partiers racist? Are they stupid? Are They both; stupid and racist? You Decide.
Patty.

Not sure what all those political terms mean?  Let the goats educate you!

Goat Politics: A Satirical Look at Government Structures
by Laura Dawn Lewis
Taken From: http://www.couplescompany.com/FEATURES/politics/Structure4.htm

SOCIALISM: You have two goats. You keep one and give the other to your neighbor and the government keeps any kids, (no one goat herder can be richer than the next)..

COMMUNISM: You have two goats. The Government takes your goats and shares the milk with you and your neighbor but rations the wool at exorbitant prices and then forces you to cut any clothing made in half to share with the rest of the population.

DICTATORSHIP: You have two goats and your neighbor has two cows. The ruler decides since the goats aren't producing enough milk or wool and “Baa” each time he passes, there is a goat conspiracy. He orders all goats killed and creates new anti-goat laws.  Since you tend goats, you are also considered an enemy of the state.  One night you and your goats’ carcasses disappear never to be seen again.  The next day the dictator changes the law. A bull charges him. Cows are now conspirators.  That night your neighbor disappears and his cows are shot.  Since the dictator has killed all of the milk sources he develops osteoporosis and blames the doctors.  Doctors are now outlawed and considered conspirators.

MONARCHY: The king owns a herd of goats.  By decree you are responsible for two goats.  The king keeps all the milk, wool and any kids your goats have and sells the proceeds back to you at a steep mark-up.  You then pay the king a tax for the privilege of caring for his goats on his lands and if you do a good job and don't cause trouble, he lets you stay.  If you cause trouble, fail to pay his taxes or he is unsatisfied with your work, he takes his goats, locks you in prison and throws your family off his land.

FASCISM: You have two goats. You give the milk to the government.  The government turns around and sells it back to you at a 400% mark-up, but only if you are the "right" kind of human being.  If you're the wrong kind, not only will you have to buy the milk back at a 400% mark-up, you'll need to survive a walk through a mine field, numerous checkpoints and escape the refugee/concentration/internment camp to claim it.

CAPITALISM: You have two goats. You sell one, leverage the other and use the proceeds to invest in bulls.

PURE DEMOCRACY: You have two goats. Your neighbors decide who gets the milk, who gets the wool, whether each becomes community property.  As you all have just one vote, they can vote to reallocate your goats to another person without justification or reason simply because your neighbors don't like your new hairstyle.

REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY: You have two goats. Together with your neighbors you elect one person to represent the interests of the group. This representative proposes and passes legislation that determines who gets the milk, who gets the wool and how much you owe the government for the privilege of owning goats. If you're lucky the person you all elected will think the same as you and let you keep your goats without taxing them to the point you can no longer afford to keep them.

AMERICAN DEMOCRACY: The government promises to give you two goats if you vote a certain way. After the election the president is impeached for speculating in goat futures. The press dubs the scandal  "Goatgate" and you are taxed for capital goat-gains on each hypothetical goat you were promised but never received.  Since you can't pay on paper goat gains, the IRS seizes your property and places a lean on all future goats, thus recycling you through the state welfare system where you finally receive your goat.

ANARCHY: You have two goats. Your neighbors conspire to set you up.  You are arrested by the secret police and never seen again.  Meanwhile your neighbors steal your goats.
